These symbols are the ones specified by the AQA exam board for use at GCSE. If you are taking any other board you will need to check the specification for the symbols they want you to use. These symbols are provided in a Word document so that you can copy and paste them for any circuits you want to draw. You should be able to paste them into Corel Draw or other draw programs as well as into Word documents. You could, of course, use Crocodile Technology or other programs for your circuit diagrams, but these do not always use the correct symbols, or may not have the components at all.
